Any cosmetology school can teach you how to cut hair. But Gene Juarez Academy is different. You will experience far more than just the basic skills and have the opportunity to get involved and expand your educational horizons.

Give back through Community Outreach

Share your talents with those in need by participating in a variety of community outreach events throughout the Puget Sound. Gene Juarez Academy students provide complimentary hair and nail services to those who are homeless, battling life-threatening diseases, underprivileged children, or are starting their lives over after years of domestic violence and/or substance abuse and drug addiction. It’s all in an effort to help others feel good about themselves while making a difference in the community.

 

Share your experience as a Student Ambassador

 

Become the voice of the Gene Juarez Academy at off-site events by becoming a Student Ambassador. You’ll have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, become a mentor to new students, and play a major role in the way we do things here at the Academy. Plus, you’ll participate in special marketing and public relations projects, all of which will make you highly marketable when it comes to finding your first job!

Create & compete in exciting Academy Artistic

You’ve got a flair for the artistic, so go ahead and flaunt it! The Academy Artistic gives students the chance to express themselves in every way from participating in artistic competitions to working on models for runway shows. Imagine recreating a model’s hair, makeup and clothing from the pages of a top fashion magazine. Or designing an original look from whatever inspires you.

Participate in Special Events & Projects

Being a student at Gene Juarez Academy means having the opportunity to take part in exclusive events for the industry including those for Gene Juarez Salons & Spas. Things like assisting Gene Juarez Team Artistic at photo shoots and fashion shows, being selected for a video testimonial, writing or filming blogs for our website, and/or receiving exclusive access to nation’s top industry talent at hair and fashion shows can easily become a reality.
