Student Ambassadors

I value Gene Juarez Academy’s motto of always being friendly, polite, courteous and helpful. It makes a very pleasant atmosphere. I also appreciate the professionalism and encouragement of positive self-image.

After being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, it became time for me to do something for my future. I’m an artist by nature and cosmetology is great fit. The industry is also flexible for my family life.

Every educator I’ve worked with has been amazing. They truly care about each student’s education and go above and beyond to help us achieve success.

I value my time on the salon floor. Not only does it give me a chance to improve my skills as a stylist/artist, but it gives me a chance to improve my skills building a clientele. I get to practice meeting new people and building relationships with them, which I feel is really important in this industry.

As a Student Ambassador, I enjoy being able to watch and meet every new design class that starts. I love watching people grow and get excited when they do.

Because I have always loved styling and coloring hair, I chose a career in cosmetology. I enjoy doing everything now, especially women’s hair, airwaving, curling, updos, and color.

The support of my amazing family, friends, and classmates have helped keep me focused and motivated to be successful throughout this program. As a Student Ambassador, I enjoy meeting potential students and sharing my own personal experiences with them.

I’m inspired by the outcome of every service and making people smile at the end of the day, and I value how the staff and students are always willing to help.

I love people, I love being creative, and I love making people feel good about themselves. Cosmetology is a good mix of it all and I’m loving the path I chose!

I am inspired when I see other people doing really well and are happy in the cosmetology industry.

I have a passion for cosmetology. I feel that if you are not passionate about what you do, then you will not put in the extra effort. I believe that the extra effort is where the creativity lies and to be creative within your passion is where happiness is.

I have enjoyed the hands-on education at GJA. The educators trust you enough to be creative, but will always help when needed!

Cosmetology is for me because I love seeing people and making their day!

I wanted to be in a career where I helped people feel great. I have always had an artistic job so a career in cosmetology just made sense. I’ve wanted to go here since I was in high school!

I'm glad to represent GJA as a Student Ambassador by assisting and encouraging the growth of other students in their academic progress. I enjoy sharing all of the positive experiences I've had at the Academy.

As soon as I began working with guests, I learned so many new ways improve my technique. Now that I am a Student Ambassador, I want to help as much as I can and be there if someone needs me.

I value the relationships I’ve developed, the friends I’ve made, and the support I’ve received from my educators is amazing and makes the learning experience priceless!

Seeing everyone who attends the Academy become more confident with themselves and how they help others with confidence is really inspiring. As a Student Ambassador, I want to help make other students' experience as fun as mine.
